NEW GRADES
In 2012, as part of airspace line development, HITACHI designed
and introduced to the market several new types of submicron and
ultrasubmicron grades. Testing and
operation results indicate the advantage of the new grades over
best milling brands in 3 to 4 times.
NEW COATINGS
New multilayer PVD coatings applied with nanotechnology and
newest super-hard materials have much better operational
characteristics, than conventional PVD coatings. This type of
coating minimize the impact of damaging factors, providing long
tool life even when high forces applied.
New
geometries
Innovative configurations and special cutting edges improve the
cutting characteristics of a tool significantly. Precise
computation of optimal geometry minimizes applied force, chip
contact with the tool and provides the best heat removal. All
combined it allows to machine high-impact steels and alloys
including aviation super-alloys with strength of 1600-1800 H/mm2.
ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION
In Russian machine industry, HITACHI tools are in high demand in
hi-tech branches, such as: aerospace engineering, defense
engineering, etc. Thanks to unique cutting characteristics and
